we all know they're here but we don't really know who they are.. they are people who sign up here and then never comment (or rarely ever do).. doesn't that make any of you regulars here at the very least a tiny bit suspicious?.
why would a person sign up to a forum like this and then never say a damn thing?
it seems to me that there is a primary reason why some folks sign up and then never comment on anything: to spy.
I initially came on here years ago in search of answers to hard questions. I read pretty much everything I could.
I had newborns when I first joined and they usually were sitting with me or I was nursing them when I was reading, which leaves no hands to type. I started commenting here and there when I was able, but for the most part everything scholastic I had to say was covered by Mary, everything funny by Outlaw and everything sweet by Flipper.
So mostly I observed. I come back now and again and I have brought many people to this forum. I feel like I know alot of the posters personally even if they don't know me.
Today I am here because I had too many Gin and tonics and then had my memorial invite dropped of. Seemed like fun to come read a bit, see whats up.

well technically it is an anniversary invite/special talk invite.
the car group was just here.
i was home but hiding and my husband got the door.. i want to tell them exactly why i am not going , but i haven't got my head quite there yet.. i think i am gonna have to just decline!.
Hmmm, my wife was out in service today. Bet she was passing out invites
They had said today was the first official day of the campaign so most likely she was. I think I might collect as many as I can from people I know and send them all back to the local cong. with "NEVER" written across the front.

I too love the southern B.C. lifestyle and climate. But for jobs many have headed to Alberta.
In general Canada is fabulous. But an Alberta winter is hard to take, in my humble opinion and so I will stay right here in BBC
and save my pennies in my wooden loonie bank, like the true Canadian hozer I am.

ever heard of transglutaminase?
it's also known as meat glue.
while banned in the eu it is very commonly used in north america and australia.
OMG Outlaw I had forgotton about the weiner issue when I was a kid. Where I grew up on Vancouver Island we were not allowed to eat weiners unless the were all beef. I remember we were supposed to ask at school fun days (when they served free weiners) if they were all beef. If they were not were not allowed to have one. They never were all beef because the regular weiners were cheaper. I specifically remember eating a bun with ketchup on it several times.
SO STUPID!

paul's letters practically invent christianity.. the gospels trickled in after him.. paul never walked with jesus and yet explains him.. never a quote from the master at all.. yet, paul is such a maven.. if jesus couldn't be bothered to actually reveal what he was all about to his apostles with whom he ate, drank, spoke and slept---why this persecutor, saul?.
the apostles heard every word jesus spoke and were willing to die for him.. paul didn't--yet--miraculously explained every detail of the entire history of god's purpose including his messiah.. .
can anybody provide a non-gimmick answer?.

here's a rare one you'll not find elsewhere, send it to your friends!.
new bethel entrants introduction to the governing body circa 1985. two new bethel boys at watchtower headquarters somehow managed to videotape this introduction to the brooklyn bethel headquarters of the governing body off of the bethel tv screen.
I remember watching this at the hall as a child. A bethel member was visiting and we watched it instead of a public talk. It was a big privledge. NOT.
We were dissapointed with the choice of movie we were promised. The moms all loved it. Mine especially was all wound up about being able to send her boys to bethel.
I liked most of the same parts as everyone else. When you watch it in hindsight it is easy to see they really were having problems keeping people there. They really stressed in the movie the importance of staying once you have been trained. at the 16:49 point they beg them to stay.
At 21:50 They say Jehovah rewards those who stay in their jobs. Which is sad if you've left for some reason. You would feel as though you were never going to be able to please god in any other way.
At 18:20 one mentions "die with your boots on, stay till the lord removes you." Well he did, you have to give him that.
I also was quite annoyed at how they always mention Leaning on Jehovah and throwing your concerns on him. The total disrespect for Jesus is so obvious to me now. He got one shout out at the end. Do they not know how to read? Have they never read the new testament.
Are they not professing to be in a special relationship with JESUS. Don't they think they are his bride? Yet he is not who they lean on.
He doesn't invite them Jehovah does???? Thats like disrespecting your husband and then hangin out with your father in-law. Weird!
Thanks Randy

this was my poststrong conviction does not make your belief true, people die for lies every daythis is his-you're spot on.
truth really matters:.
john 17:17 - god's word is truth.
a rebutle for when he rights "the light gets brighter" crap..
(1 John 2:7-8) 7 Beloved ones, I am writing YOU, not a new commandment, but an old commandment which YOU have had from [the] beginning. This old commandment is the word which YOU heard. 8 Again, I am writing YOU a new commandment, a fact that is true in his case and in YOURS, because the darkness is passing away and the true light is already shining.
The true light was already shining waaayyyy back then.
